Artist Bio


Roselynn Imbleau graduated with a MFA in Visual Art from Jacksonville University and a BS in Communication from Queens University. She is a native North Carolinian and she moved to Charlotte in 1982, studied commercial art at CPCC with Evie Henderson, and drawing & painting under Ron Walters. Imbleau used her art skills while working as a buyer for Discovery Place, and later with Eastland Mall marketing. She has also studied under locals Alex Clark and Connie Winters, and Karen Chambers of Asheville. When her children were small she got the gig as a published illustrator from Learning By Entertainment, LLC for "It's Potty Time," which experienced its 3rd printing. Frequently, she studies under Tony Griffin and she splits her time residing mostly in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. From 2006-2008, she served as 1st VP Fundraising of Charlotte Art League, and in 2009 Publicity Chair. She alternates membership with various art organizations: First Coast Plein Air Painters, Charlotte Art League, Charlotte Artists Society, Appalachian Pastel Society and Piedmont Pastel Society.

Art provides a way for me to record small moments in my life that I deem important. I distill these moments down to their essence by revealing allegory, impressions and illusions.
