Saturday
Being the Labor Day weekend that it is I had to go get my mom (Mimi) so she could join us for the extended weekend. She lives in a small town and sometimes when I go to lunch there with her I am humored by the quotes in one of the restaurants. Here it is:
“They say If they can send a man to the moon. Why don’t they send them all there?”- anonymous (Ooops: Correction on quote).
This funny quote, like most of the others on the wall are on old, metal squares; they look pretty ancient but every time I visit “Mimi” I end up discovering another one.
Painting image in progress below is of an eagle’s nest …..I will post it again at the finished stage. This painting is from a photograph I took recently in Monks Corner,SC.

ECO ART GIRL’s “Environmental Ecology Message:”
I hope to promote environmental conservation and awareness with my art and message. Wetlands are the number one threatened ecosystem in the world today. Losing our wetlands to the impending threat of global warming as well as over development will impact our ecosystem and ultimately our quality of life.
Thanks for viewing and happy Labor Day Monday- the symbolic end of summer, although I think we will still feel the heat as fall approaches! (I’ll take a rest from painting.)
